Porcini mushrooms are a famous, and delicious, addition in Italian cuisine. Due to their strong nutty flavor, this is an incredibly popular gourmet mushroom.

Before being dried, the mushrooms are carefully cleaned: however they may contain traces of dirt or other contaminants that the user will make sure to remove before cooking.
